Primarily,
I am an abstract landscape and seascape painter (both the inner and the outer
realms). I’m
drawn to the magical, whimsical spirit of what I see and feel and am fascinated
by the interplay of color, contrast and the light that may be felt rather than
seen. My
process is a spontaneous one that evolves through the application of multiple successive
layers of paint to achieve a luminous visual depth.
Texture, fluidity, contrast and overall design are forefront in my mind,
and
a bright, bold palette often dominates my work.
Because I’m a firm believer in art’s ability to heal, it’s very
important to me that my work contributes to what’s joyful and uplifting in this
world. It’s
my hope that each painting uplifts and inspires its viewer.
